Denny C. Brandenburg

Denny C. Brandenburg, age 72, of Livonia, formerly of the Florida Keys, passed away April 24, 2019.  He was born October 29, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Donald and Elaine (nee Kohnert) Brandenburg. Denny attended Northville High School in the early 1960’s and then proudly served in the United States Navy.

Denny worked for many years as a subcontractor for carpet and tile installation in both residential and commercial buildings.  A gambling man, he liked spending time at the casino and playing poker at the Eagles club in Howell.  He also liked horse racing and in his younger years working with the horses at Northville Downs. Denny enjoyed road trips, traveling, and wandering.  A non-conformist, Denny was fun to be around.  He had a good heart and loved to make people laugh.

Denny is survived by his daughters, Michelle Brandenburg and Allison Brandenburg; his siblings, Mike (Zelma) Brandenburg, Linda (Roger) Collins, David (Marilyn) Brandenburg, Sandra (Houston) Billings, and Randy (Linda) Brandenburg; his nieces and nephews, William Brandenburg, Anne Sackrison, John Brandenburg, Joe Brandenburg, Jason Collins, Julie Walker, and Amanda Perry.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his niece Angela Billings, and his nephew Brian Collins.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
