Debra Ann Ronk

August 11, 1957 — January 20, 2025

Debra A. Ronk, age 67, of Holly, formerly of Waterford and White Lake, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Cecil W. and Thelma (Grover) Ronk. She graduated from Plymouth High School; class of 1974. Debbie began a career as an aide in a Nursing Home. Throughout her life, she worked various small jobs to keep busy.

Debbie was a gifted crocheter and knitter, creating beautiful blankets that she lovingly donated to her church and shared with family and friends. She also had a creative flair for scrapbooking and enjoyed making meaningful cards and gifts for her loved ones. Debbie’s love of the outdoors led her to tent camping, and later, she upgraded to a pop-up camper. She often camped in Oakland County parks and the Thumb area, finding joy in church-sponsored camps where she could sing and enjoy gospel music.

Traveling was another of Debbie’s passions. She went on many cruises with her family, but her favorite destination was Hawaii. She had a special love for collecting unique mugs and cherished the thoughtful cards she received from family, keeping them as reminders of the love and appreciation she inspired. Despite challenges, Debbie persevered with grace and strength. She was a devoted sister and aunt whose kindness and love touched everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Debbie is survived by her siblings, Ron Ronk and Mary Smithson; her nieces and nephew, Shelly (Ron) Williams, Kimberly (Paul) Mendel, Jeff (Stacy) Ronk, and Nichole Smithson; her great nieces and nephews, Hunter (Tony) Wilton, Emily Williams, Robbea Williams, Morgan Williams, Gavin Ronk, Colton (Emily) Smithson, Jesse Hart, Logan Ronk, and Payton Hart; and her great-great niece and nephew, Charlie Wilton, Ashton Wilton, Emma Wilton, and Logan Wilton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister-in-law Linda Ronk, and her brother-in-law Larry Smithson.
