David L. Kaminski

David Kaminski, age 82, of Northville, Michigan passed away on November 11, 2023.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1941, the oldest son of Frank and Violet Kaminski. David was united in marriage to Irene Rhodes on July 17, 1993, they spent 30 years devoted to one another as husband and wife.

In high school David was an All-State athlete at Roosevelt High School in Dearborn, Mi. After graduating from high school in 1959, David earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Detroit College of Law. David was an attorney and worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Ford Motor Company until retirement in 2005.

David was an avid golfer, enjoyed tennis, traveling and reading about history. He also enjoyed watching all sports but especially college football and the Detroit Lions. David gave back to the community and volunteered in the Detroit Public Schools as a reading specialist. He was a very loving and caring soul who treasured his family and every friendship.

David leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving wife of 30 years Irene, two children Amanda (Paul) Offer, David (Kathleen) Eton, two stepdaughters Jackie (Matthew) Lorincz, Susan (Nate) Weid, two brothers James (Gwen) Kaminski, Robert (Ellen) Kaminski, six grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Deanna Kaminski.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with rosary at 4:00 p.m. followed by a tribute to David of sharing stories and special songs at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap Street, Northville. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with time of gathering beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 133 Orchard Dr, Northville.
