Cynthia A. Moss

Cynthia A. Moss, age 66, of Livonia, passed away on December 5, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of George J. and Willie Joyce (Davis) Korby. She was the loving mother of Jennifer Gonterman. Cindy was united in marriage to David S. Moss on May 6, 1995; devoted to each other for over 25 years. She graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1972. Cindy furthered her education through certifications for her career. Cindy was a Special Education Paraprofessional for Farmington Public School for over 20 years; she retired in 2018.

Cindy was a caregiver by nature; her happiness came from taking care of her family and spending quality time with them. She loved to read romance novels and kept her mind sharp by doing word search puzzles. Cindy enjoyed playing Uno and Rummy. Her favorite place to visit was Disney World. When her daughter was young, they went every summer and created many memorable moments. Cindy was a loving, caring, and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband David and her daughter Jennifer (Eric Kemp) Gonterman. Cindy created a large extended family through friends and cousins. She was a sister to Cathy Hoffmeyer and an aunt to Cathy’s children, Todd, Trace, Danny, and Kimberly. She was a dear friend of Laura Green and Samantha Zalac. Cindy is also survived by her loving cousins, friends, and her husband’s family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother George J. Korby III.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 3pm until 6pm with a family service at 5:30pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A graveside service led by Cathy Hoffmeyer will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 3pm at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens, 17840 Middlebelt Road, Livonia.
