Cory S. Bartley

Cory S. Bartley, age 38, of Birch Run, passed away October 10, 2023. He was born on February 24, 1985 in Port Huron, Michigan; son of Debra A. Okarmus Bartley and James L. Osgood. Cory was united in marriage to Amber M. Weir-Franks on October 2, 2010; devoted to their love for 13 years.

He graduated from South Lyon High School, class of 2004. Following high school, he continued his education at the International Truck Driving School. He worked at Iron Mountain as a truck driver until he medically retired in 2016.

Cory enjoyed gaming on his X-Box and Play Station systems. Using the internet as a  teaching tool, he fixed his truck and other cars. He was a jack of all trades; he could do anything. Cory was strong-willed with a funny sarcastic personality. He liked to have fun with his friends just hanging out. Cory was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Cory is survived by his wife Amber Bartley; his children, Shelby Bartley and Jordan Bartley; his grandson Nico; his mother Debbie Bartley; his father James Osgood; his sister Heather (Harrison Haynes) Rome; and his nieces and nephews, Deion, Taliah, Brendon, Jacob, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his brother Eric Bartley.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Rev. Marsha Woolley from the First United Methodist Church will officiate the service.
