Claudia Ann Sargent

Claudia Ann Sargent, loving mother of David Shawn Sargent of Hawaii, and proud grandmother of Anelise, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the age of 75. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marie Warner of Seattle, Washington and is survived by her dear sister, Therease (John) Judge of Livonia. She is also survived by her cherished niece and nephew, Sarah (Emil) Khalil and John Warner Headley and her grandnieces and grandnephews, Emilia Khalil; Anna, Eleanor and Ivan Judge; as well as Serenity and Gabriel Rush.

Claudia graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1965 and entered the United States Navy in Corpus Christi, Texas that same year. After her discharge from the service, her life’s journey led her to Nashville and then back to Seattle where she worked at the UFCW Local 1001 Union until her retirement. Claudia had a strong Catholic faith. This faith was the foundation that led to her work at service organizations such as Civitan and St. Vincent de Paul’s. She served the King’s Mill community where she lived, as Editor of the Grapevine newsletter and as a Board member until the time of her death. Her community provided many loving lifelong friends. Her dog Charlie was her constant companion and joy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm with a Rosary beginning at 7pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 11am with visitation beginning at 10:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville. Rev. Father Denis Theroux will celebrate the mass. She will be laid to rest at Holyrood Cemetery in Seattle.
