Christopher S. Bollin

October 23, 1961 — October 12, 2022

Christopher S. Bollin

Age 60, of Brighton, formerly of Pinckney, passed away October 12, 2022. He was born on October 23, 1961 in Livonia; son of William and Carol (Heino) Bollin. Christopher graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia; Class of 1979.  He was united in marriage to Kimberley Bollin (Pippin), and they spent 15 loving years together as husband and wife until her death on April 7, 2009.

Christopher was a master electrician.  He began his successful career as an apprentice alongside his dad and brothers.  When his father retired, he went to work for Graye Electric in Livonia before branching out on his own.  He applied his skills to all fields, including new construction and renovation projects for commercial, industrial, and residential jobs.

In his personal life, he loved a good project; Chris had tremendous ability for problem solving, building, and fixing things.  His projects were always done well, and he believed in making sure things were done the right way.  Chris was a true outdoorsman and spent much of his time at his family cabin in Harrisville on Lake Huron.  He was an avid hunter with both bow and rifle. Christopher enjoyed charter fishing on the Great Lakes as well as Alaska.  He was also a phenomenal grill master and had a talent for smoking meat and cheese, in addition to being a great cook and baker, a talent that he passed along to his daughter. The three greatest loves in Chris’s life were family, work, and his cabin.  He was devoted to caring for his family and preserving the memory of his parents. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending quality time with them, including enjoying the outdoors and creating special holiday traditions like cutting down the Christmas tree or picking pumpkins for Halloween.  He was currently helping to plan a backyard playhouse for them.  Christopher was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle; he will be missed by all who loved him.

Christopher is survived by his loving children, Jonathan Seely and Mekkena (James) Reid; his grandchildren, Jude, Harper, Olivia, and one on the way; his siblings, William (Sharon) Bollin, Kenneth (Barbara) Bollin, Janette Guenther, and Timothy (Ann) Bollin; his brother-in-law, Larry Rigley; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Kimberley Bollin, his parents, and his sister, Sherrill Rigley.
