Christine R. Krieger

Christine R. Krieger, age 82, a longtime resident of Novi, passed away on August 25, 2024. She was born on July 10, 1942 in Eldorado, Argentina; daughter of Franz and Ana (Wallisch) Rohrmoser.  She graduated from high school in Misiones, Argentina and continued her education at university in Buenos Aires, where she earned an associate’s degree. Christine was united in marriage to George F. Krieger on January 17, 1964; spending 39 years devoted to their love until his death on July 29, 2003.

Christine was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family. She found joy in being at home, where she loved preparing meals and spending time in the kitchen.   When her children were grown, she worked part time as a circulation clerk at Novi Library, retiring after 30 years. Christine had a green thumb, nurturing a bountiful vegetable garden alongside beautiful flowers that flourished under her attentive care.  Christine had a passion for crocheting and sewing, often creating beautiful clothing for both her daughter and herself. She cherished the visits from her sister, Luisa, and treasured the time they spent together, whether shopping or simply enjoying each other's company. Christine loved finding great deals and could often be found at Kohl’s, Kmart, or Meijer, always with a coupon in hand.  Christine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her kind and caring nature will leave a lasting void in the hearts of those she touched.

Christine is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Krieger; her brother, Roberto (Sonia) Rohrmoser; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Luisa Scheihing.

Private family services were held.  She was laid to rest next to her husband at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
