She was born in Toledo, OH , on March 28, 1918; daughter of Lavergne and Birdie (nee Fosler) Hull.  She graduated from Angola High School in Angola, Indiana; Class of 1936.  Carolyn was united in marriage to Floyd Bishop on May 17, 1953; they spent 47 loving years together as husband and wife until his death in 2000.

Carolyn worked as a social worker and has been retired for many years.  She was a member of the Stone United Methodist Church in Meadville, PA.  Carolyn enjoyed watching basketball and cheered for the Cleveland Cavaliers.  She was a wonderful cook and baker.  Carolyn made delicious fried chicken and over the holidays baked no less than 15 varieties of cookies, including divinity and holiday wreaths.  She loved spending the holidays with family, whether she was hosting or visiting from out of town.  While living in Pennsylvania she hosted Easter; the spring break trips would always include other adventures with her niece and nephew like visiting Washington DC, the Delaware shore, and almost every attraction in Philadelphia.  Carolyn cherished being close to her extended family and enjoyed their company.  She treated her grandnieces and grandnephew as a grandmother would and never forgot to send them birthday cards.  Carolyn was incredibly devoted to her family and truly loved them.

She is survived by her niece, Caroline (Jack) Daggitt; her nephews, John (Martha) McMeekin, and Andrew Hull; her great nieces and nephew, Sam, Hannah, Lily, Macy, and Halle. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Norma McMeekin, and her brother Harry Hull.
