Bonnie Lou Mcknight

Bonnie Lou McKnight

Age 77, living her life in Oakland County, passed away February 14, 2020.  She was born May 13, 1942 in Pontiac, Michigan; daughter of Rudolph E. and Marjorie M. (nee West) Hopp.  She graduated in 1960.  Bonnie Lou was looking forward to her upcoming 60 th reunion.

Bonnie Lou retired in 2002 from Electronic Data Systems; working all her life in the telecommunications industry. Bonnie Lou liked to be sociable, and enjoyed bowling and other activities.  Her love for bowling gave her the strength to enjoy life.

After years of enduring her cerebral palsy, she grew the confidence to be a vivacious, confident, and most of all, A sassy lady!!!

She is survived by her sons, Jon (Shannon) Hamlett and David C. (Jim Dunn) McKnight; her grandchildren, Nicole Hamlett and Joshua Hamlett; and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ron Hopp and Wally Hopp.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from Noon until 3pm. A celebration of Bonnie Lou’s life will begin at 3pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Rev. Andrew J. Genitti will officiate the celebration. Bonnie Lou will be laid to rest at Square Lake Cemetery in Lake Orion.
