Billy C. Cullen, Ii

May 3, 1985 — December 26, 2020

Billy C. Cullen II, age 35, of Waterford Township, formerly of Livonia, passed away December 26, 2020. He was born on May 3, 1985 in Farmington Hills, son of Billy C. Cullen and Catherine M. Rankin. Billy attended Stevenson High School in Livonia.

Billy was a kind and thoughtful soul taken from this world far too soon. He had little trouble befriending nearly everyone he met; his laugh and smile were infectious and his sense of humor could not be denied. He was--and will forever be--loved by those who were lucky enough to know him. Though he has been gone only a short time, Billy is dearly missed. His early passing will indelibly mark the lives of his family and friends.

An avid sports fan, Billy always enjoyed watching, playing, discussing, and debating football, basketball, hockey, and golf. As a die-hard Detroit sports aficionado, he supported his hometown teams with enthusiasm that was second-to-none. Billy worked as a server for many years, most recently at 5th Tavern in Bloomfield Hills. Given his friendly spirit, he thoroughly enjoyed the company of others and did everything he could to ensure others would enjoy his--two qualities perfectly suited to his line of work. When Billy was around, it was hard not to have a good time.

Billy is survived by his loving father Bill (Joan) Cullen; his heartbroken sister Natalie (Jonathan) Nikkila; his nephews, Gavin, Wesley, and Miles; his stepfather Albert Pistonetti; his grandfather Kenneth Suchara; his stepsiblings, Robin Paul, Becca Green, Rod Green, Robert Green, and Nicholas Pistonetti; his girlfriend, Amanda Adamson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cleo Suchara, Mary Rankin, and Duncan Rankin. His mother Catherine Rankin Pistonetti recently passed away on December 27, 2020 following her months-long battle with cancer.

Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. He will be laid to rest with his mother at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
