Barbara J. Wolfe

May 9, 1938 — September 24, 2024

Barbara J. Wolfe, age 86, a lifetime resident of Northville, passed away on September 24, 2024. She was born on May 9, 1938 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; daughter of William and Rosezetta (Campbell) Richards. She was united in marriage to Ken Wolfe on March 11, 1959; spending over 46 years devoted to their love until his death in 2005.

Barb graduated from Northville High School in the class of 1957. She started her career in the food industry at Hardee's in downtown Northville. After Hardee's closed, she transitioned to Wendy's in Plymouth, where she worked her way up to become a supervisor. Barb retired from her position in 2000.

Barb was a devoted and active member of Salem Bible Church in Salem Township, frequently volunteering to cook for church events. She took great pride in maintaining a beautiful and well-kept garden, where she nurtured her favorite flowers, including black-eyed Susans, daylilies, colorful daisies, and petunias. In her younger years, she and her husband Ken enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends. She had a great love of dogs and found comfort and companionship with her current fur babies, Shelby and Snoopy.  Barb was a loving, generous, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Barb is survived by her children, George (Mary Beth) Wolfe and Debbie L. Wolfe; her grandson, Kenny Wolfe; and her siblings, Elizabeth (Chris) Durfee and Bill (Alice) Richards.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Salem Bible Church, 9481 Six Mile Road, Northville, MI 48168.
