Angeline Baetz
Age 90, longtime resident of Northville, passed away peacefully at her home on June 17, 2020. She was born on February 7, 1930; daughter of Atanas and Christina (nee Anastasoff) Naumoff. She graduated from Western High School in Detroit; Class of 1947. Angeline was united in marriage to Paul E. Baetz on October 19, 1956; they spent 46 loving years together until his death on March 24, 2003.
Angeline worked as an administrative assistant for Olivetti-Underwood in Detroit for several years. After having children, she stayed home and became completely devoted to her family and running her household. Her family affectionately referred to her as the PIC or person in charge.
Angeline was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years. She was a lifetime member of Northville Mother’s Club where she was instrumental in the production of the Northville Mother’s Club phonebook. Angeline was a wonderful cook and an exceptional hostess. She liked to entertain and host dinner parties for friends and family. Angeline kept a beautiful home and was an amazing interior decorator. She enjoyed golfing and playing cards, especially bridge and pinochle. Angeline also enjoyed gardening and digging in the dirt. She liked to travel and would go anywhere she could, her trips included Hong Kong, Mexico, Bermuda, and Florida. Angeline truly loved her family and cherished the time they spent together.
Angeline is survived by her loving sons, Paul Baetz and Christopher Baetz; her grandchildren, Audrey and Alex; and the daughter she never had, Nancy Preble. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Norman Naumoff and her sister Daisy Naumoff.
A private memorial service will be held with Pastor Christopher Fairbairn from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church officiating the service. Mrs. Baetz will be laid to rest next to her husband at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
