Allen Bemarkt Shaw

Allen B. Shaw, age 69, of Romulus, passed away June 21, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1954 in Lansing, Michigan; son of Hubert and June (Bemarkt) Shaw. He grew up in Lansing and graduated from Waverly High School; class of 1972.

Allen worked as an installer with Metro Sprinkler for over 25 years. He enjoyed watching horse racing at Northville Downs and trying his luck at the casino. Allen had an extensive collection of Hot Wheels, which was a hobby he shared with his brother. He liked to spend time outdoors fishing or with his family at their cottage in Irons, Michigan. Each year on the 4th of July, Allen would put on a huge fireworks display for them. He loved cats, especially his furry companion Lucky, whom he adored.

Allen is survived by his brother, Alex (Debbie) Shaw; his former wife, Sally Apsey; his son, Erik (Nikkole) Shaw; and grandson, Brendan Shaw. He is also survived by his dear friend, Christina Ingles; her daughter, Karen (Steve) Patterson; and her grandchildren, Josiah, Elizabeth, Keith, Noah, Benjamin, and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held.
