Age 77, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away October 21, 2012. He was born on August 13, 1935 in Detroit, son of Raymond and Gwendolyn (nee Rudolph) Fischer. He graduated from U of D High School and from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. Joe was united in marriage to Mary Lou Ryan on October 4, 1958; they spent 54 loving years together. He retired from the Purchasing Department at Ford Motor Company after 30 years of loyal service. Joe was a hospice volunteer in Michigan and Florida for many years. He loved to play golf and was an avid sports fan. He was a loving, caring and respectful husband, father, and grandfather. Joe was a very genuine man and a great friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his children, Lynn Fischer, Ray Fischer, and Michael Fischer; his sister-in-law, Theresa Fischer; and his grandchildren, Ray IV, Jack, Alysse, Michael, and Kit. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Robert and James. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 25 from 4-8pm with a scripture service at 7pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. The funeral mass will be held Friday, October 26 at 10am, instate at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard, Northville.
