John E. Mcclure

Age 82 of Northville, passed away September 27, 2012. He was born on October 15, 1929, son of John and Bertha (nee VanVelzor) McClure. John was united in marriage to the love of his life Patricia on October 15, 1955; they were married for 56 years until her death in 2011. He was a truck driver with UPS for 40 years. After retiring in 1982, John enjoyed taking care of his yard, playing with his dogs, and traveling in his motor home. Among his favorite places to visit were Yellow Stone National Park, the Grand Canyon, Florida, and Tennessee. John was very devoted to his family; he was a caring and loving husband and the BEST dad and grandpa. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Carl) Meck, Maureen (Peter) Anstett, and John (Lindsay) McClure; and his grandchildren, Philip, Katelyn, Logan, and Coltan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia following the service.
