Romayne H. Bartling

Age 96, of Novi, previously of Farmington, passed away peacefully August 27, 2012. She was born October 2, 1915 in Scranton, PA daughter of William and Helene (nee Rhode) Boettger. Romayne was united in marriage to Irving H. Bartling on February 4, 1938; they spent 35 loving years together until his death in 1973. She was a very devoted wife and mother. She was very active with her son`s athletic events from high school through his professional baseball career. Romayne was very crafty; she made beautiful flower arrangements and created amazing ceramic pieces. She loved to travel with family and friends all over the world. She is survived by her loving son William (Judith) Bartling; her grandchildren, Todd Bartling, Jay (Pam) Bartling, and Jill (Jody) McGlinch; and her great grandchildren, Skylar and Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister Ruth Bandelin. The visitation will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 3-8pm. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville.
