Robert (Rob) Post Deneweth, age 46, passed away suddenly on November 10, 2012. Resident of Novi since 2007, formerly of Findlay, Ohio and Farmington Hills. Beloved husband of Julie (Green) Deneweth. In addition to his wife, Rob is survived by his loving children Christopher, Alexander and Natalie. Born May 22, 1966, Rob graduated from Centerline High School in 1984 and was a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Engineering. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Wayne State University and a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The University of Michigan Dearborn. He enjoyed a long career at Ford Motor Company. Rob's most recent role was with Ford Racing, as the powertrain development engineer for the twin-turbo Mustang Cobra Jet which was recently unveiled at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Along with racing his Mustang and working on engines in his spare time, Rob lived life large and enjoyed a distinguished record in the BMX racing world. He shared his racing expertise as a driving instructor at Waterford Hills Road Race Track. Additional hobbies included spending outdoor time with his family boating, skiing, water sports, mountain biking, and racing slot cars as well as participating in scouting activities with his sons. He was an avid University of Michigan football fan. Along with his wife and children, Rob is survived by his mother, Louise Kay Auriemma of Florida, father Robert Joseph Deneweth and step-mother Dian Wilkins of Birmingham, MI, sister Amy (Herschel) Abrams, step-siblings Andy Wilkins and Sharon (Terry) Konja, and father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Jere Ann Green of Birmingham, MI. Rob is loved by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His family will gather with friends Thursday for visitation from 2-8 pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap St., Northville. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Oak Pointe Church, 50200 West 10 Mile Road, Novi.
