Lewis F. Hampton

Lewis "Joe" F. Hampton Age 79, of Novi, passed away suddenly January 10, 2013. He was born January 31, 1933 in Temple, Texas; son of William and Virda (Moon) Hampton. Lewis was united in marriage to Jeannette L. Brant Harshman; they spent over 25 loving years together until her death on January 10, 2013. He was a retired factory worker with General Motors. Lewis was a life member of the Masons. Lewis loved to play the guitar and harp. He was very giving and enjoyed tinkering with his collections. He is survived by his children, Terry (Julie) Nelson and Debbie (Dave) Pont; his sisters, Lillie R. Spalding and Vernie R. McKel; 28 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeannette L. Hampton, and his brother Homer Hampton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4-8pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Swart & Wolfe Funeral Home in West Carrollton, Ohio later this week. He will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
