Marian F. Zayti

Marian F. Zayti Age 92, of Townshend,Vermont previously of Northville, passed away February 17, 2013. She was born January 8, 1921 in Northville Township; daughter of Chester and Mary (Traub) Shoebridge. Marian graduated from Plymouth High School in 1938; she was a high school athlete who played on both the basketball and softball teams. She later attended the Henry Ford Home Arts School in Detroit. She was united in marriage to Benny Zayti on May 6, 1942; they were married for 46 loving years until his death in 1988. For many years, Marian was the Human Resources Coordinator for the Northville Public Schools; she retired in 1986. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Mother's Club. Marian loved to travel and enjoyed watching sports. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Slowik and Joyce (Brian) Berry; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica (Rock), Matthew (Molly), Megan, Heather, and Jason; and her great granddaughter Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Janice Zayti, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. A funeral mass will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:30am, with visitation beginning at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard, Northville. She will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery.
