Hildegard M. Weber Age 86, of Plymouth, formerly of Grand Blanc, MI and Dunedin, FL, passed away November 16, 2013. She was born May 12, 1927 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany; daughter of Joseph and Anna (nee Preuss) Eilert. Hildegard was united in marriage to Helmut Weber on November 25, 1950 and they spent 62 loving years together. In 1953, she and her young daughter immigrated to the United States, reuniting with her husband, who had come over earlier to get things established for his family. They eventually settled in Grand Blanc, raising a family and living there for 50 years; only recently moving to Plymouth. Following her husband's retirement, Hildegard was a snow bird spending her winters in Dunedin, Florida, as well as travelling extensively throughout Europe. Hildegard was a devoted homemaker, who took wonderful care of her family. She enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, baking, and entertaining. Hildegard made friends effortlessly and will be missed by the many dear friends she has made throughout the years. She is survived by her loving husband, Helmut Weber; her children, Barbara (Norman) Yoffee and Chris (Rhonda) Weber; and her granddaughters Ashley and Christa. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Kenneth Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Rd., Plymouth. Rev. Fr. Denis Theroux from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will officiate the service. Mrs. Weber will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
