Margaret P. Dalton

Margaret Patricia Dalton, age 85, of Redford, passed away November 22, 2013. She was born March 12, 1928 in County Kerry, Ireland; daughter of Thomas and Catherine (nee Nagle) Spillane. Margaret was united in marriage to William Dalton on January 5, 1949; they spent many loving years together until his death in 2010. Margaret was a selfless and loving wife, mother and grandmother; she devoted her life to her family. She was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and a member of the Gaelic League Irish-American Club. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Village Women's Club. Margaret loved to garden, read, travel, and cook. Family was the most important aspect of Margaret's life. She was a very giving mother and a fun grandmother with fashion-forward taste. She is survived by her loving children Geri (Ron) Tuscany and Kevin (Sharon) Dalton; her daughter-in-law Julie Dalton; her sister Maureen McAuliffe; her grandchildren Rory (Krysten), Lindsay (Jason), Brandon, William, Timothy, Bridget (Jordan) and Jack; and her 6 week old great granddaughter Lena Rory. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Rory Dalton, and her brothers Patrick Spillane and George Spillane. Visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 from 2-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:30am, she will be instate at 10am at Church of the Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi.
