Edwin J. Pawlowski

Edwin J. Pawlowski age 87 a longtime resident of Northville, passed away November 22, 2013. He was born on February 10, 1926 in Cheboygan, MI; son of John and Helen (nee Antkowiak) Pawlowski. Edwin was united in marriage to Catherine Genna on November 8, 1952; they spent many loving years together until her death in 1999. All of his life he worked for General Motors; he retired as a General Supervisor from GM Powertrain at Willow Run. Edwin loved the outdoors; he especially liked to go hunting, fishing and golfing. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his vacation home in Rose City. Edwin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. When his sons were younger he was one of a few fathers who founded the Northville Colts and the Northville Hockey Association. Edwin is survived by his sons Edwin (Suzanne) Pawlowski, Carl (Nancy) Pawlowski, and John (Debbie) Pawlowski; his sister Virginia Robydek; and his grandchildren Allison (Joe) Verschueren, Joe Pawlowski, Andrea Pawlowski, Jay Pawlowski, Rachel Pawlowski, and Hope Pawlowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5-8pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11am, he will be instate at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard, Northville.
