Elaine J. Porter

Elaine Jeanette Porter, age 95, of Pelion, South Carolina, passed away November 27, 2013. She was born March 3, 1918 daughter of Clifford and Mae (Bollman) Winter. Elaine was united in marriage to Robert Kenneth Porter; they spent many loving years together until his death in 1973. Elaine was a bank teller with Manufacturer's National Bank; she retired after 25 years of service. She moved from Michigan to South Carolina in 1984. She was a very devoted mother and wife; she simply put her family first. Elaine enjoyed playing croquet in the old neighborhood and also enjoyed flower gardening. She is survived by her son Dick (Diana) Porter; her granddaughters Heather Price and Teresa Mutton; her great grandchildren Alyssa, Hunter, Nicole, and Christopher; and her nieces Elaine Reid and Sheri Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Helen Reid. She will be laid to rest in Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
