Phyllis M. Bussell, age 93, of Farmington Hills, passed away December 11, 2013. She was born August 28, 1920 in Bentley, Michigan; daughter of Frank and Ruth (nee McGrady) Pelton. She was a 1938 graduate of Sterling High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Alfred Bussell in 1956; they spent many loving years together until his death in 2009. Phyllis and her husband Al lived in Gladwin on Lake Secord in the summer and in North Palm Beach, Florida in the winter. She was an avid outdoors person. While in Michigan she loved to hunt deer and pheasant, enjoyed salmon fishing, and also enjoyed gardening. In the winter, she and Al enjoyed ocean fishing and often sold their catch to local fish markets. She was a past president of the Northport Condo Association in Florida. She is survived by her children Thomas (Judy) Eaton and Richard D. Eaton; her siblings Dorothy Leslie, Mary Jane (Bill) Sarber, Joan Haskins, William Pelton, and Robert Pelton; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 10 at 1pm with visitation beginning at 11am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest at the Gibson Township Cemetery in Bentley, Michigan.
