Gloria L. Pratt

Gloria L. Pratt, age 91, of New Hudson, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was born Thursday, April 27, 1922 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania; daughter of Willard and Marie (nee Seymore) Biddinger. She was united in marriage to Harold F. Pratt on September 19, 1942; they have spent over 71 loving years together. Gloria was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Farmington Hills for over 50 years. She has lived in New Hudson for the past 3 years; she was previously a longtime resident of Novi. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to bake Michigan rocks and chocolate chip cookies. Gloria was a very talented seamstress who enjoyed making clothing for children. She also enjoyed knitting; she made beautiful sweaters for her grandchildren. She devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her children Lon (Carol) Pratt, Kandy (Bunk) Bunker, Jeff (Denise) Pratt, Amee (Bob) Sharp, Trudi (Bob) Ellwart, and Troy Pratt; her brother Don (Lois) Biddinger; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Allen Biddinger, Keith Biddinger, and Dale Biddinger. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2-8pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 20805 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills. She will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48154.
