David M. Wangeman

Age 50 a longtime resident of Northville, passed away December 29, 2013. He was born on March 13, 1963 in Howell, MI; son of Glen and Rosemary (nee Shaver) Wangeman. He was a graduate of Northville High School in 1981. David was united in marriage to Julie Tomasi on December 6, 2002; they spent 11 loving years together until his death. He worked as an auto mechanic with Speedy Auto Service in Ann Arbor. David loved spending time with his family, especially around the barbeque where he was always cooking something gourmet. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying biking and hiking. He was an avid fisherman, and spent many hours teaching those he loved how to fish. David also enjoyed riding and tinkering with his motorcycles and photography. David is survived by his loving wife, Julie Wangeman; his daughters, Meredith (Josh White) Wangeman, Corey (Eddie) Zarnes, and Rose Wangeman; his stepsons, Josh (Lindsay) Smith and Patrick (Danielle) Smith; his mother Rosemary Wangeman; his mother-in-law, Jill Tomasi; his sisters Becky (Randal) Armstrong and Debra (David) Koch; his grandchild, Jordan Zarnes; and his uncle Lyle (Norma) Wangeman, Jr. He was also loved by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Glen E. Wangeman. A time of gathering will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until Noon, with a memorial service at Noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 20450 Civic Center Drive, Southfield, MI 48076.
