Casmere A. Kosicki Age 92, of Clinton Township, previously of Northville, passed away January 2, 2014. He was born on March 4, 1921 in Hamtramck, Michigan; son of William and Helen (nee Niemczyk) Kosicki. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II; he was stationed in Europe and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Casmere then continued service to his community when he joined the police force in Detroit; he retired in 1973. After retirement he worked as security detail for the United States Post Office; he retired in the mid 1980's. He was united in marriage to Ann Roy in 1985; they were together for 15 years until her death in 2000. Casmere was a life member of the Northville VFW Post 4012, a member of the Disabled Veterans of America, and a past member of the DPOA. He loved to golf and enjoyed fishing. He was a caring, hardworking, and honorable man. Casmere is survived by his sons Mark (Louise) Kosicki and Anthony (Jennie) Kosicki; his siblings Hank Marsh and Vickie Brown; and his grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher, Lauren, Eva, Krystina, Jamieson, and Anthony "AJ". He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ann Roy-Kosicki, and his sister Jean Kotkoski. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
