Eldon K. Andrews

Eldon Kenneth Andrews Age 92, a resident of Novi since 2006, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014. He was born on August 20, 1921 in Canton, Ohio; son of E. A. and Bessie (nee Evinger) Andrews. Eldon was united in marriage to Frieda Rummelsberger on November 24, 1956; they were happily married for over 57 years partially because he was such a considerate and loving husband. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a Post Sergeant Major. Andy, as many friends called him, received his Bachelor Degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He owned HM Seldon Company which was an industrial real estate company located in Detroit. After many devoted years to his business he retired in 1986. Andy was very political; running on behalf of the Conservative Party of Michigan for Governor in the 1974 election. He was a member of the Detroit Rotary Club and the Sigma Chi Foundation. He also served as past President of the Michigan Association of Realtors. He often volunteered for many political campaigns. He was a very caring and fun brother, uncle, and friend. Andy is survived by his wife Frieda; his brothers B. Jack Andrews, Byron Andrews, and Howard (Nancy) Andrews; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Burton Andrews, Burdette Andrews, James Andrews, Harold Andrews, and Marion Andrews; and 1 sister Ruth Swanson. Funeral arrangements are private. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the giver's choice.
