Mary E. "Betty" Feole, age 94, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away February 27, 2014. She was born April 2, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Louis and Henrietta (nee Hughes) Genest. Betty was united in marriage to Julius Feole in 1962; they spent 38 loving years together until his death in 2000. During World War II Betty supported her country by being a "Rosie the Riveter" at Willow Run. She worked as an assembly worker for Burroughs in Plymouth. Betty was a very active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; faith was very important to her. She enjoyed bowling until the age of 90. She was very social person with a great sense of humor. Betty liked going out to dinner with her family and friends. She is survived by her stepchildren, Howard Feole and Delores Ide; her niece Bonnie Zagar; her nephew James Gemmell; her great niece Carla Zagar; her great nephew Bret Zagar; her grandchildren, John Feole, Rebecca Oldaker, Paul Feole, Sara Keogh, Rachel Albright, Christian Feole, Deborah Botts, and Denise Gerke; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her stepson Warren Feole, her sister Patricia Gemmell, and her brother John "Jack" Genest. Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 from 2-8pm with a Scripture Service beginning at 6:30pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10am with visitation beginning at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard, Northville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family of Mary "Betty" Feole.
