Age 94, of Northville, formerly of Las Vegas, NV and Detroit, passed away June 1, 2014. James worked for the City of Detroit Department of Streets and Traffic retiring as a Supervisor after many years. He was the Past President of AFL-CIO in Detroit. Throughout his life James had many interesting careers such as working as a furrier in New York, once selling a fur to Charlie Chaplin, and the Missile Plant in Warren. He lived an incredibly full life, embarking on many different interesting adventures. He travelled extensively throughout the United States with his beloved wife of 56 years, Rita. His love of the Polish Culture came from his wife's heritage; some of his favorite things were Polish food and music. James had a wonderful spirit and was very charming; he was a ladies man who loved to flirt. He is survived by his loving daughters, Kathleen (Ronald Wolinski) Taylor and Judith Mostyn; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Mostyn, Andrew Mostyn, Patrick (Mary Lou) Mostyn, Sheri Taylor, and Heather (Nick) Schubick; and his great grandchildren, Ariel, Abigail, Nicholas, A.J., Reilly, Chole, and Brody. He was preceded in death by his wife; sons, Dennis Mostyn and Charles Mostyn; his grandson, Matthew Mostyn; and his sister. Private family services were held.
