William N. Brower

Age 71, longtime resident of Salem Township, formerly of Marine City, passed away June 4, 2014. He was born on July 28, 1942; son of William T. and Helen (nee Schuster) Brower. He worked as a Supervisor for Ameritech, retiring after 33 years with the company. William was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Lyon. He was also a member of Michigan Horseman Association and US Trotting Association. William loved his family and spending time with them. He was a true horseman, and participated in harness racing all over Michigan for many years. He loved his horses, Dynochip, Sunshine Gal, and Greenstone; and adored his cats, Blackie, Samantha, Sasha, and Littlest. He is survived by his loving significant other of 20 years, Judy L. Kolomyski; his daughter, Cathy (Gary) Pauli and Lisa (Jack) James; his mother Helen Brower; his siblings, Dick (Mylene) Brower, Tim (Maryanne) Brower, Mike (Pauline) Brower, Mary Lou (Jim) Treppa and his sister-in-law Rosie Brower; his grandchildren, Kayla Pauli, Kolin Pauli, Annamarie (Josh) Gunn, Erika (Corby) Dixon, Jack James, and Joey James; and his great granddaughter, Oaklee Dixon. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Dave Brower. The visitation will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., instate 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. Lafayette, South Lyon.
