Katharina Amrein

Katharina (Karin) Amrein, age 73, of Northville passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at home after a three year battle with Lymphoma. She was born July 15, 1940 in Apatin, Serbia; daughter of Jakob and Theresia Amrein. Karin was married to Allan Inglis on May 25, 1985 in Montreal. The couple moved to Northville, Michigan in 1990. Karin dedicated her life to her family as a loving and caring homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed gardening. She was an active member of the Northville Garden Club and the Downtown Beautification Commission. Her love of flowers helped to make Northville a beautiful place to be. Karin is survived by her husband Allan; her son Peter Ursika; and her sisters Ingeborg (Uwe) Lund and Renate Bostick; her nieces and their families Renee Amrein (Ryan)and Marcia Bostick (Issac, Theodore, and Marcia Andrea). A memorial visitation for all friends will be held, Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 10am until Noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville.
