Arthur Greenlee passed peacefully surrounded by his family on July 1. He was a devoted, generous and loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He will be missed, not only by his family, but by a wide circle of friends from his bridge groups and sports pursuits. He lived an active life of baseball, volleyball, cross-country skiing and was very happy with his toes in the sand, either Up North, at the Jersey Shore, or in Fort Myers, Fla. After spending his early years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he made his home in Northville, Michigan for the past 46 years. Here he has been an avid fan of U-M sports and the swimming pursuits of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by Betty (nee Gordon) Greenlee, his wife of 59 years, son; Arthur Greenlee III (wife Susan); and six grandchildren: Allison Greenlee Korr (husband George Korr), Arielle Greenlee, Daniel Goldman, Alandra Greenlee, William Greenlee and Arthur Greenlee IV. He was preceded in death by daughter, Janeen Greenlee, and his only sibling, William Greenlee of Colorado. Born in Morrisville, PA, he graduated from Morrisville High School before receiving his degree in business administration from Rutgers University. He had a successful career as an accountant for Ford Motor Company. During World War II, he served in active duty in the U.S. Navy. He faithfully attended Holy Cross Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at Casterline Funeral Home at 122 W. Dunlap, Northville, MI on July 11 from 3-6 pm. The memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 40700 W. Ten Mile Rd., Novi, MI on July 12 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in a private ceremony July 5. Donations welcome to the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy (www.gtrlc.org).
