Virginia D. Lach Age 93, a lifelong resident of Northville, passed away July 18, 2014. She was born August 25, 1920; daughter of Louis and Dora (nee Caswell) Lanning. Virginia was united in marriage to Joseph Lach on August 18, 1945 and they spent 35 loving years together until his death in 1979. During the war she worked as an inspector with Kelsey Hayes in Plymouth. Virginia was a very devoted, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was the past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4012 in Northville. She enjoyed sewing and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She is survived by her children Cheryl (Roger) Dreasky and Ken (Lynda) Lach; her grandchildren Dawn (Robert) Harvey and Joseph Lach; and her great grandchildren Tyler and Easton Harvey. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson Duane Joseph Dreasky, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 20 from 3-6pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 21 at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Pastor Don Magee with Lakes Baptist Church in Walled Lake will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
