Helen Konczal

Helen Konczal, age 81, of Novi, formerly of Dearborn Heights, passed away October 14, 2014. She was born August 24, 1933 to Stanley and Clare (nee Kajder) Hojnecki. Helen was united in marriage to Arthur J. Konczal on November 3, 1957; they spent 24 loving years together until his death in 1982. She was the owner of Accuform Printing and Graphics in Detroit for 50 years; with her strong work ethic, she worked until she couldn't work anymore. She was a member of many professional women's organizations, including; North America Business Women's Org., Small Business Assoc. of MI, Women's Professional Society of MI, Women's Communication Org., and Associated Retarded Citizen Org. Helen loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished the time they spent having parties and dinners together. She enjoyed travelling and visiting casinos; Las Vegas was one of her favorite places to be lucky. Helen is survived by her loving children, Gail (Paul) Johnson, Jeffrey (Carol) Konczal, and Gregory (Michelle) Konczal; her grandchildren, Kate, Paul, Spencer, Jake, Haylee, Alexis, Emma Rose, and Andria; and her sister, Sophie Zima. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Michele Konczal; her parents; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The visitation will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., in state at 10:00 a.m. at St. Fabian Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Mrs. Konczal will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to The Arc of Oakland County, 1641 W.
