Collette R. Higgins

Collette Rose Higgins Collette R. Higgins, age 29, of Commerce Township, passed away suddenly November 7, 2014. She was born July 30, 1985 in Pontiac, Michigan; daughter of Gino Rea and Ann Gaul. Collette was united in marriage to Garrett Higgins on October 28, 2011. She was a very considerate, caring, and loving wife and mother. She was a 2004 graduate of Northville High School and received an Associate Degree from Schoolcraft College. For the past 5 months she has worked in the customer service department of Target in Commerce Township; she previously was a manager at Kroger in Farmington Hills. An avid reader, Collette was highly motivated and intelligent. She loved listening to music and singing; she had a beautiful voice. She is survived by her husband Garrett; her daughters Courtney Burmeister and Amelia Higgins; her father Gino Rea; and her sister Alicia Rea. Also loved by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Gaul. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1-8pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest in Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
