Justine "Juty" Jiskra Justine "Juty" Jiskra, age 95, of Livonia, formerly of Cadillac, passed away peacefully January 23, 2015. She was born December 13, 1919 in Middlefied, Ohio; daughter of Frank and Hazel (nee White) Griffin. Juty was united in marriage to Otto A. Jiskra on April 16, 1942; they spent 62 loving years together until his death in 2004. She graduated from Cardinal High School in Middlefield, OH; she then attended Ohio State where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and later a Master Degree from Wayne State University. She began teaching Home Economics at Franklin High School in 1963, retiring as the Department Head in 1980. Juty attended First United Methodist Church of Northville and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a devoted homemaker and found joy in the daily tasks of life; gardening, knitting, straightening up the house, etc. She loved her family and truly enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Juty was thrilled to have grandchildren and was especially excited with the birth of her great grandchildren whom visited often. She is survived by her loving children, Jon (Gail) Jiskra, Tony (Patricia) Jiskra, and Greg Jiskra; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Kathleen (Stephen), Eric, Nathan (Michelle), Aaron, and Justin; her great grandchildren, Avona and Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 1 sister. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 777 W. 8 Mile Rd., Northville. The burial will take place at a later time at Middlefield Cemetery in Middlefield, OH.
