Roy J. Toth Age 74, of Northville, passed away February 25, 2015. He was born March 12, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan; son of John and Ethel Toth. He was united in marriage to Deborah Shinske on July 27, 1979; spending over 35 loving years together. Roy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit and his Master's degree from the University of California Irvine; continuing his education throughout the years was important to him. For 31 years he worked as a sales manager for Hewlett Packard. He also worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Detroit at the age of 73. Roy was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth. He enjoyed racing his Laser sailboat with the Portage Lake Yacht Club. He also enjoyed playing tennis and woodworking. Roy was the best husband and father a family could want. Roy is survived by his loving wife Debbie Toth; his son John Toth; and his sister Jean (Bruce) Kelley. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary (Tim) Arnold; his brother-in-laws, John (Debbie) Shinske and Bill Shinske; and his nieces and nephews, Rachel (Dan) Cohn, Nicole (Eric) Serfoss, Michael (Nicole) Kelley, Scott (Keri Ann) Kelley, Lauren Shinske, Nicole Shinske, Craig (Kandice) McLeod, and Kyle (Kayla) McLeod. The visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. He will lie in state, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10 a.m.,the funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 47650 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth.
