Rosemary Wangeman

Rosemary Wangeman Rosemary Wangeman, age 82, longtime resident of Northville, passed away March 18, 2015. She was born in Boyne City, Michigan on January 5, 1933; daughter of Wybert and Ruth (nee Raymond) Shaver. Rosemary was united in marriage to Glen E. Wangeman on March 26, 1955; they spent 58 loving years together until his death in 2013. Following graduation from Boyne City High School, Rosemary attended Elkhart Indiana College. She worked for many years as a Hematologist; she began her career in Petoskey and later retired from St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia after 31 years. After retiring she kept busy by working for Freedom Medical in Livonia. Rosemary was a life member of American Medical Technologists. She enjoyed gardening and dancing. She also enjoyed sewing; she often made clothes for her children, including matching shift dresses for her daughters. Rosemary, a history buff, loved visiting Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum; she also enjoyed trips to the zoo. She traveled throughout the United States; many trips included attending seminars across the country in places like New York, California, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. She cherished her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; she also felt blessed to be a part of her great grandkids lives. Rosemary is survived by her loving daughters, Becky (Randal) Armstrong and Debra (David) Koch; her grandchildren, Courtney (Patrick) Gordon, Meredith (Josh) Wright, Corey (Eddie) Zarnes, Rose Wangeman, Adam (Amber) Harrison, Dylan (Lauren Gray) Koch, Joshua Koch, and Justin Koch; and her great grandchildren, Jack, Lily, Scarlett, Delani, Payton, Jordan, and Cody. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son David Wangeman, and her parents. A time of gathering will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, with a Memorial Service at Noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.
