Victoria Angelina Martinez, age 90, of South Lyon, a former longtime resident of Berkley, passed away peacefully April 8, 2015. She was born on October 11, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan daughter of Massimo and Birdie (nee Church) Perilli. She was united in marriage to William Martinez they were lovingly devoted to each other for over 48 years until his death in 2005. Victoria was a wonderful homemaker and an amazing aunt. All of her nieces and nephews loved going over to her house because she was so loving and incredibly fun! She enjoyed playing cards and Yatzee. She also enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes, and crocheting. She spent many vacations up north in Harrison with her family. Victoria had weekly Wednesday visits with her sisters and Sunday dinners with the rest of the family. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sandra (Jack) Adams, Karen (Jim) Spannos, Albert Perilli, John (Theresa) Silk, Barbara (Andy) Hauk, Anita Nicastri, Audrey Boyd, Linda (Jim) Rowley, and Donna (Danny) Campbell; her great nieces and nephews, Scott, Michael, Heather, Carrie, Sara, Angela, Erin, Jason, Brandon, Krista, Tricia, Ryan, Amanda, Ben, Travis, Tanya, Anthony, Nicholas, Alayna, Monica, Nicole, Jennifer, and Daniel; and 33 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William; her sisters, Virginia Nicastri and Viola Silk; and her brother Albert Perilli. Visitation will be held Friday, April 10 from 2pm-8pm with a rosary at 7pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11 at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest at Roseland Park Cemetery following the funeral service.
