June M. Hubenschmidt

June M. Hubenschmidt, age 88, of South Lyon, formerly of Northville and Livonia, passed away peacefully April 26, 2015. She was born on December 31, 1926 in Livonia, Michigan daughter of Otto and Josephine (nee Wells) Tarrow. June was united in marriage to Robert Hubenschmidt in August of 1947; they spent 40 loving years together until his death in 1988. June, a devoted homemaker, also worked for many years as an Aide at Hawthorne Center in Northville. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Northville. June was very artistic; she enjoyed crafting, painting, and making doll clothes. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time working in her yard and gardening. She is survived by her loving children, Judy (Jack) Trombley, Duane Hubenschmidt, and Terry (Nanette) Hubenschmidt; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Jean Donaldson, Dorothy Weeks, Sharon Tarrow, Shirley Tarrow, Gail (Bill) Mitton, Joan (Mike) Dayus, and Stanley Tarrow. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Robert; her parents; and 5 siblings. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.., she will be instate beginning 10:30 a.m.. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr., Northville. Mrs. Hubenschmidt will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
