Donna J. Glenn Age 87, of Dearborn, formerly of Northville, passed away peacefully June 9, 2015. She was born on March 27, 1928 in Bad Axe, Michigan; daughter of Ellsworth and Margaret (nee Livingston) Dunlap. Donna was united in marriage to Samuel G. Glenn on June 28, 1952 and they spent 56 loving years together until his death in 2008. Donna earned a BA from Michigan State University in 1949, followed by a Master's of Library Science from the University of Michigan in 1971. As a school librarian in the Wayne Westland Public Schools, the zenith of her career included presenting her thesis at Keble College, Oxford University, England. After retiring in 1983 she enjoyed being with her family sharing laughter and love. Donna a true artist was very creative; she was an avid reader who also enjoyed writing and painting. She was an exceptional, fun and creative mother and a sassy and giving grandmother. Donna had a sublime view of life that she shared. She is survived by her son Gary R. Glenn, his wife Michele, grandsons Paul and Dylan; her daughter Karen D. Smith, her husband Patrick, grandchildren Kyle, Kelly (Cory Buenning), Holly (Nathaniel Gravely), Tracy, and Shelby; and her daughter Devon Fralick, her husband Bruce. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Lola Western. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Country Club of Detroit, 220 Country Club Dr., Grosse Pointe, MI.
