Nicholas A. Rathburn

Nicholas A. Rathburn Age 34, of San Mateo, California, formerly of Northville, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2015. He was born December 24, 1980; son of Roger W. Rathburn and Sherry A. DeSantis. He graduated from Northville High School Class of 2000; upon graduation he moved to California and studied Law Enforcement at the College of San Mateo. He was a Supervisor with Allied Barton Security Services and worked at Visa International in Foster City, California. Nicholas had an interest in law enforcement and enjoyed going to the shooting range. He also loved camping and the outdoors and some of his favorite places to visit were Yosemite and Half Moon Bay, California. He loved animals, especially his two beautiful cats; Baxter, who Nicholas always called "Mr. B" and Daisy. He also loved spending time with his California cousins, Gina, Christina, Debbie and David and enjoyed attending big Italian family dinners and birthday parties and taking his younger cousins, Lucian and Jade, to the movies. He is survived by his grandfather Vincent (Carole) DeSantis; his aunt Susan Ryan; his uncle John DeSantis; and his niece Celestia McArthur. He is also survived by his loving family and friends in California. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his grandmother Carole DeSantis, and his sister Tia McArthur.
