Linda L. Atton

Linda L. Atton, age 60, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away July 22, 2015. She was born January 24, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois; daughter of LeRoy and Phyllis (nee Dodd) Ording. She graduated from Northville High School in 1973 and attended Ferris State. Linda was united in marriage to Dana Atton on June 21, 1996; they spent 19 loving years together. Linda was a member of Northville Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Northville Jaycees. She was an outdoor enthusiast; she loved the beach, sun, and water. She enjoyed visiting lighthouses in both Michigan and Florida, which was her favorite vacation spot. She was an avid U of M football fan; nothing else mattered but maize and blue. She was also a fan of NASCAR. Linda, who was very spiritual, donated her eyes so others may see the world as she did. She had a wonderful zest for life that she enjoyed sharing with others. Linda cherished her family, friends and adored her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Dana Atton; her children, Michael Terry and Christopher Terry; her mother Phyllis Ording; her siblings, Richard (Diann) Ording and Reid (Jean) Ording; and her grandchildren, Damien, Kaden, and Avery. She was preceded in death by her father LeRoy Ording. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. Immediately following the visitation a Celebration of Life and time of sharing will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 113 S. Center St. Northville.
