Robert Carleton Davies Age 75, a resident of both Northville and Torch Lake, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2015. He was born March 24, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Arthur and Violet (nee Bryan) Davies. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Turner on May 20, 1961; spending 54 devoted years together but wishing for more. Bob was the President of Bayview Electric; a company that he co-owned, with his son Rob, since 2004. He was a very intelligent and successful businessman. Bob was a member of the Detroit Masons, the Michigan Seniors Golf Association, and the Shanty Creek Resort where he would often be found on the golf course. In 1983 he served as President of the Farmington Hills Golf Course which later became Walnut Creek Country Club. His home on Torch Lake was called the Eagles Nest, a place where family and friends would gather for fun and entertainment. Bob enjoyed fly fishing and fishing, golfing, floral gardening, sailing, and boating. He also enjoyed driving his little red corvette and his 1940 Chris Craft boat. He loved dancing with his beautiful wife and liked spending time with his friends. The most important aspect of Bob's life was his family. He was a very honest and caring man. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Davies; his children, Debbie Woodbeck, Shelly (Jon) Riebe, and Robert (Michelle) Davies; his grandchildren, Rob, Megan, Kyle, Robert, and Elle; his sisters, Sylvia (Bill) Carrasco and Vicki (Deb) Elzinga; and his brother-in-law Dan Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 from 1pm-7pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. In lieu of flowers contributions would be appreciated to a charity of your choice.
