Roxanne C. LaChance, age 65, a longtime resident of Novi, passed away August 13, 2015. She was born May 2, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Charles H. and Rylma I. (nee Ford) LaChance. Roxanne was a graduate of Dearborn High School in 1968. She received her degree from Central Michigan University and later received another degree in Paralegal from Madonna College and Wayne State. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Northville and later changed her career and worked in the legal profession. Roxanne truly embraced and loved life, loved her family and cherished all of her animals, especially Blossom her wonderful little cocker spaniel. Roxie loved horseback riding, gardening and water coloring. She had a special connection and love for Mackinac Island and visited her family often. Roxanne is survived by her brother, Louis (Cindy) LaChance; and her sister, Charlene (Richard) Potwarka. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with a time of gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 Ten Mile Road, Novi. She will be laid to rest at St. Anne's Cemetery on Mackinac Island. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 20450 Civic Center Dr., Southfield, MI 48076
