Robert P. Raymond

Raymond, "Bob" Robert P. Age 97, long time resident of Creve Coeur, MO died on October 10, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Patsy Raymond (nee Wagner) for 35 years; dear stepfather of Steven (Lauren) Underriter of Grand Rapids, MI; Linda (David) Marino of Northville, MI; and Dan (Tammy) Underriter of Maryland Heights, MO. Born to the late Hugh and Clare Raymond of Oakmont, PA. Bob attended Massanutten Academy in Woodstock, VA before going onto Parks Air College in Cahokia, IL where he received his aviation degree. Upon graduation, Bob enlisted in the Army and received an honorable discharge in 1945. He joined McDonnell Aircraft Corporation immediately after discharge 1945 where he worked on the F-2 Banshee, F-4 Phantom II, and AV-8B Harrier aircraft before his retirement in 1987. Bob was an avid antique airplane enthusiast and fully restored a Beechcraft Staggerwing in the 1970s at Creve Coeur airport. He enjoyed German Shepard dogs, especially Pharaoh and Zorro as well as playing the organ in his spare time. Bob quietly passed away while in assisted living in Northville, MI.
