Daniel F. Crane Age 63, of Detroit and Alaska, passed away on October 20, 2015. He was born December 27, 1951 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; son of Robert and Dorothy (nee Timlin) Crane. He graduated from St. James High School in Ferndale, class of 1970. He worked as a plumber, both residential and commercial; he was part owner of North Star Plumbing in Alaska. He also worked for many years for the Archdiocese of Anchorage as the head of maintenance. Daniel was a devoted Catholic, his faith was important to him. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Daniel volunteered for two years at St. Mary's Mission and truly enjoyed his work with Inuit Alaskan children. He was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time in Manistee and enjoyed the fall color tours. Daniel always wanted to help friends and family, his life was all about giving to others. He cherished his family and they time they spent together. He is survived by his loving siblings; Mary Tanis, Jeannie Crane-Blain, Elizabeth Dennis, Molly (Ray) Seidl, Julie Dalton, Judd Crane, and Joe (Charlotte) Crane; his sister-in-law, Pat Crane; his brother-in-law, Dan Fedorko; and many adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Crane; his sister, Kathleen Fedorko; and his brother-in-law, Rory Dalton. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with a time of gathering beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr., Northville. He will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Gesu School Angel Fund, 17139 Oak Dr., Detroit, MI 48221.
