Sandra Ella Mohr

Sandra E. Mohr Sandra E. Mohr, age 77, longtime resident of Northville, formerly of Hudson, Ohio, passed away peacefully November 2, 2015. She was born January 30, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio daughter of Edward and Phyllis (nee Sheridan) De Atley. She was united in marriage to Thomas E. Mohr on November 25, 1966; and they spent 48 loving years together. Sandra was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Northville since moving to the area with her husband, Thomas, in 1991. She was a devoted mother, nurturing three sons in the arts which would later prove important in their professional and personal lives. Her love of classic poetry lent guidance and inspiration. She reveled in the many accomplishments of her sons and grandchildren and remained very close to each, all of her life. Sandra, known as YaYa to her grandchildren, shared great cheer and loving thoughts. In her professional life, Sandra found her niche in Interior Design. She attended Ohio University and graduated with an Associate degree in interior design from Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio. Following graduation, she worked interior design firms in Hudson, Ohio and Northville, Michigan. Sandra enjoyed the relationships built with her clientele. Her home always represented her talent well. Though she was proud of her De Atley family heritage, she was immensely fond of her Irish roots through the Sheridan family. She will be dearly missed. Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Thomas E. Mohr of Northville, MI; her sons, Michael (Karri) Mohr of Milford, MI, Matthew (Stephanie) Mohr of Dublin, OH, and Aaron (Cathlene) Mohr of Seattle, WA; and her grandchildren, Lily, Thomas, Beatrice, and Adeline. She was preceded in death by her parents. The visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Burial Park, 10556 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, Ohio on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
